PLAYBACK TIMES

The 2004 National Conference on Police Accountability, held in Porltand, Oregon from October 15-17, 2004, will be featured on upcoming shows from Flying Focus Video Collective. The conference was cosponsored by Portland Copwatch and the National Coalition on Police Accountability. People from all over the US came to share their experiences organizing against police misconduct. Flying Focus has edited 20+ hours of presentations down to 9 hours of programming. Below is a schedule for the playback times of the first three episodes, covering five hours and seven panels, being shown under the banner of "Flying Focus Speakers and Events" beginning early Monday morning, February 21 on cable access in Portland.

Part 1 features a panel on Portland's community-police relations which set the context for why the conference was held here. It runs one hour.

Part 2 runs two hours and includes panels on police shootings and deaths in custody, racial profiling, and case-based work and copwatch organizing.

Part 3, also two hours long, has information on increasing police powers and attacks on activists, and police and homeless communities, and police violence against women of color and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals.
